About Bellus

Who is accountable, and for what

Care is delivered by people, and you are entitled to know which ones. This page sets out the roles behind every package — who leads it, who oversees it clinically, and who you escalate to when something is wrong.

NAMES, PHOTOGRAPHS AND CREDENTIALS ARE PENDING CONFIRMATION BY BELLUS.

Named people, not job titles

Anonymous claims about "our experienced team" are worth very little. A named person with stated credentials, who you can ask for by name when you ring, is worth a great deal.

The roles below exist for every package we run. The names attached to them are being confirmed and will appear here once Bellus has signed them off — we are not going to invent a leadership team to fill a page.

If you need to know who is accountable for a specific placement today, call us and ask. You will be given a name.

The roles

Every item in amber above is awaiting confirmation from Bellus. Nothing on this page asserts a name, qualification or registration we have not been given.

Escalation

If something is wrong, who to go to and in what order

  1. 1

    The support team

Most things are best raised with the people providing the support, immediately and informally.

  2. 2

    The service or support manager

If it is not resolved, or if it should not have happened at all. NAME AND CONTACT

  3. 3

    The Registered Manager

For anything about quality, safety or staffing that has not been put right. NAME AND CONTACT

  4. 4

    Our formal complaints process

Published, with timescales. See Complaints & Compliments.

  5. 5

    The regulator or local authority

You can go to CQC or to the commissioning local authority at any point. You do not need our permission and it will not affect the care provided.

Common questions

Questions about the team

1Why are there no names on this page yet?

Because we have not been given them, and inventing a leadership team would be dishonest. They will appear here once Bellus confirms them.

2Can I ask for a specific carer?

Ask. Consistency matters and we build teams deliberately, but we will be straight with you about what the rota can hold.

3How are staff supervised?

CONFIRM SUPERVISION FREQUENCY AND FORMAT.

4What happens when someone leaves?

A planned handover with overlap wherever possible, so the person is not meeting a stranger cold.

5Are staff employed or self-employed?

CONFIRM EMPLOYMENT MODEL — managed service or introductory agency. This matters: it determines who is accountable for training, vetting and cover.

Ask us who is accountable

Ring and ask for the name of the person responsible for a placement. If a care provider cannot answer that question quickly, that tells you something.
